A non-availability letter is not required to stay off base and you are not required to stay in lodging on base. You also do not need approval to stay off base. There is only one restriction: when you stay off base, the government will only reimburse you up to the allowed lodging rate. Randolph Crash Pads only charges you your allowed lodging rate.

The non-availability letter is good for the entire duration of your TDY, even if your TDY extends beyond your original scheduled dates. You are not required to locate to another facility with a lower rate after you initially establish lodging with your non-availability letter rate.

You only need to bring what you would normally pack. We provide a fully-furnished home to also include utilities, home appliances, bedding, towels, detergent, etc. Your expectation should be that Randolph Crash Pads will provide whatever household needs you normally have.
